The Public Speaking camp utilizes students’ strong foundational skills of reading and writing to enhance comfort in the domains of educational collaboration and public speaking. Initiating these critical thinking and communication skills from a young age sets students up for both academic and social success in high school and beyond.
This camp will teach students how to respectfully engage in conversation over differing viewpoints with other students. Students will also learn to speak clearly and persuasively in front of a large number of people, and effectively manipulate words to express ideas in a new way. Sessions may be lead by high school and college students with experience in speech writing and debate.
Tuesdays, Time - 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM
